How LingoPepper handles data

1. Who is responsible
LingoPepper is operated by Andy Wilson Design Limited. We are responsible for deciding how personal information is used in connection with the service.
2. Information we collect
We may collect account details such as your email address, authentication tokens, subscription status, payment reference identifiers, API keys, credit balances, favorites, saved session metadata, domain ideas, and the business descriptions you submit for generation.
3. How sessions are protected
For authenticated users, saved session briefs and generated domain ideas are encrypted before they are stored. Guest sessions are saved locally in the browser and are not available from your account dashboard unless you sign in and a sync flow is provided.
4. Why we use information
We use information to provide domain generation, check availability, save sessions, manage favorites, process subscriptions, operate the developer API, prevent abuse, monitor service reliability, and improve the product. Where required, we rely on lawful bases such as contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations.
5. Service providers
The service may use providers for authentication, email delivery, payments, AI generation, domain availability checks, hosting, analytics, and registrar affiliate links. These providers process information only as needed for their role, subject to their own terms and privacy commitments where you interact with them directly.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies, session storage, and local storage to keep you signed in, remember local guest favorites or sessions, and maintain essential product state. Browser controls can remove local data, but doing so may delete guest-only sessions.
7. Retention
We keep account and subscription records while your account is active and for as long as needed for legal, tax, security, and operational reasons. Saved sessions remain available until deleted or until account retention rules require removal.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location and circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
9. Contact and updates
Use the contact method published with the service or supplied in your customer communications to raise privacy questions. We may update this notice as the product, providers, or legal requirements change.
